The enlarger was shipped dis-assembled. The column is locked into place by a large ring. In the ring are two holes. A spanner was provided to fit into to the holes so that it could be made secure. It is sometimes incorrectly called a wrench. A wrench is a spanner that can be adjusted, this tool is fixed.
At least two finishes are seen, a crinkle effect and a smooth matt black.
