The Riga enlarger has a straight column. It is make of bakelite and only 20cm high with separate transformer. It can enlarge Minox negatives up to 6.5x9cm (2.5x3.5 inches). It could also be powered by battery.
Then enlarger head is cylindrical with a rounded top. The cone shape lower part narrows towards the lens.
The base has a built in mask and a button is used to lift it up. The switch on the transformer reduced the power.
A special post card easel was made. The base of the Riga enlarger is removed so that the post card easel can be firmly attached.
