A general FAQ also gives

        Minty,  a  10         = Like New / No sign of cosmetic wear
        Clean,  a   9 1/2     = Extremely, cosmetically Clean/ pre owned item/ tiny or no cosmetic wear in most Item areas
        Clean,  a   9           = Clean Item, Pre-Owned Status, little cosmetic wear,  proof of usage - Still an overal Clean Item
        Good,   a   8 1/2     = Good Conditioned Item, Used, shows some cosmetic wear - Yet a Great Item
        Good,   a   8           = Good Item, of course works, as the above Items do, yet has seen more Usage - More Cosmetic wear
        Fair,     a   7 1/2     =  Used Item - Works - Simply shows heavier cosmetic wear - Some say, even shows "character"

By the sellers own definition the camera is a 7 1/2 or 8 at best. The two dings, nicely omitted from the photographs, and heavy marks shows a higher than normal level of wear. The flash socket point has been cut up in someone attempting to un-do it. A 9 should be in collectable state this is not. The camera is working and all features appear to be functioning correctly.

Initial e-mails were replied to claiming that they could not be read. Both seller and buyer were using the same e-mail client. When it was established that the seller could read the e-mails time was allowed for a response. 10 days later the buyer found that further bids on new items were blocked. A negative feed back being left resulted in:-

I understand that we both previously communicated about this purchase that was by the way months ago; ( 10 days earlier )
because of your un-called action I also must leave a negative feedback for your un-precidented ( as a result of being blocked and having no response to the claims of mis-representation ) mis-conduct.
I am here not to insult you , but myself trading on ebay for more than 7 years - your experience is very un-common ( 2 previous negatives and 3 neutrals in 505 transaction feed backs ).
anyway - there is no place or time of war - against each other.
we both have severe language and or mis-communiction skills - even partly my fault.
what you could have done, is simply instead of mentioning the condition rating remarks - perhaps just to point out - to return the item for a full refund - ( as others have, leaving a positive to getting their money back )

but you never did outline a specific demand ! that is very very disapointing -
you are a man of very few words , most of them not to be understood and or even mis-understood.
anyway, as a professional of my side - I can offer a full refund -
also because you got this Gami as a severe discounted price ( subsequent ones were sold on Ebay at even lower price ), so I don't mind taking it back :) for a refund.
also: I am in the power to initate both of our negative feedback removal which requires both of our consent and cooperation.
As you can see from my tone & conduct I am a proven professional, that makes mistakes but also thinks ahead in future - like for instance blocking you from my business - is because you're setting your proxy bids too high for anyone to outbid you ( in fact all proxy bids are set low enough to be outbid, unless close to the close, the seller setting buy it now and reserves too high to match may have something to do with the lack of interest on the only other item the bidder had bid on )- which makes no sense because I am here to sell :)
You and Me we can never do business together ! That is not personal, but simply business ! ( over 1000 transactions with 400 of them repeated business indicate others can ).
so if you're remotely interested in having both of out negative feedbacks successfully removed - I can make that happen through a lawyer .

The seller is a major seller on Ebay with many Ebay identities. Most give the same e-mail address. The style of the pages is close under all IDS and the feed back soon reflects the difference in option on grading. The buyer eventually re-sold with full disclosure at a loss rather than risk further communication problems.
