Featured as standard the measuring chain connector, an improved viewfinder with better parallax correction, and-most importantly-the 4-element Complan lens, which produced superior negatives without the scratching problems associated with the Minox II's 5-element lens. The complan lens is also found in the Minox B and early Minox C cameras. This is the earliest model to consider if you're looking for a Minox to shoot rather than just collect.

Serial numbers run from 31275 to 58499; thus up to 27,224 may have been manufactured; perhaps more, since some Minox II cameras were converted to Minox III cameras before they left the factory. Fairly hard to find, but a great high precision camera capable of producing beautiful results if you can get your hands on one with shutter speeds that are still accurate.
