Hubert Heckman , Minox Variations in 8x11 - 1995, 192 pages (SBN 3-88984-153-8) is the the most comprehensive collector's book on Minox 8x11 cameras and their accessories. Published by Wittig Books in Germany, this is an English translation "Minox Variationen in 8x11".

This book was first published to mark the the "50 years Anniversary of Minox GmbH". This book is often referred to as the Minox Bible and is probably the best known and respected of all the Minox titles. Written by Hubert Heckman and vouched for by the the legendry Minox inventor himself, Walter Zapp, Variations in 8 x 11 gives us a detailed account of the history of Minox cameras, from their conceptual birth through to the modern subminiatures that are still produced to this day. The book contains a wealth of pictures and illustrations such as the first ever picture taken by Walter Zapp. All Minox subminiature cameras are covered as well as some 35mm cameras; accessories and darkroom and other equipment are also included, even sales literature and advertising brochures! The second edition of Minox Variationen in 8x11 was issued in 2004. Updates include more details on the work of Walter Zapp including Zapp's vision for a camera of the 21st Century.

It lacks the colour photographs of the German 2004 2nd Edition, looses the sharpness that the large size and high gloss paper of the original version provided but has some additional material e.g. no German patent but British and American patents and history updates the 8 years between publication.
